Anna's Mission Farewell

Can you believe this is only a third of our entire family? Well...as surprising as that may seem it is and even my mother is missing in this rare shot of all of us sitting still...Anyways the reason for this recent gathering is for a wonderful mission farewell for Anna. She was called to serve in the Oakland/San Francisco area. We are so proud of her too. The kids had a blast with a skunk they found at our Uncle's house nearby that caused quite a commotion after spraying inside the house. Many memories were made this day with so many cousins together for Anna's special day.

Summer Adventures....

Summer started off slow but picked up after awhile. In June we had to send Terry off to Florida to see his family to retrieve a car that his parents were giving us. While he was there he was able to see his oldest daughter Britney who he hasn't seen in 20 years or so. He also was able to finally meet his first grandson Irieson who is two years old now. He visited his parents who are leaving on a mission in August for Johannesburg, South Africa. While he was gone I was able to send the kids off to their camps affiliated with our church and I had the entire week to myself...whoohoo! So yeah we also were able to see Mandy's new baby girl Ava who was born in June also, and now Savannah is a big sister. Later we took the kids up to Sedona to play in the water which they loved and jumped off huge rocks and had tons of fun with their cousins. For the Fourth of July we were able to go to Duncan to see my gramma's new store "Three Sisters Bakery" have its grand opening and see the parade with several cousins in it too....so our start of our summer has officially started.....

My kids birthdays in May...

So for the month of May we were busy with birthdays for my kids...Frankie had his first and he wanted to go the gameworks for his day, and next was Sabrina who just wanted her hair cut shorter and her nails done professionally, and last is Ana who wanted her hair straightened in the salon. So as you can tell by the pictures how happy they were with their requests. We had their cousins Vanessa and Alex come over for a visit too who tried to show them how to do the "Shuffle" dance and they had a blast together. I am a bit late with this post but better late than never I always say...so that is the lastest update from our household. For now we are enjoying our summer vacation and kids are getting ready for camp next week...so more posts to come...

Spring Break

For our Spring Break we had cousins Andy, Michelle, and Michael come to visit from Safford. Both weeks were filled with baseball games, museums, and the Luke Air Force Air Show, and hiking; which ended with a visit to the Bass Pro shop in Mesa. Our house was sure busy but filled with memories of good times together as a family. We took advantage of the culture pass they have at our libraries that give you free tickets to certain events and museums to keep local residents an eye opener to what is available in our own backyard. We had a fun time as you can see...

What a pose Ana....love the smile

Luke Air Show....

We went to the Luke Air Show this weekend with thousands of other people. We had to wait about an hour just to get into the base. It was amazing and the weather was perfect, but we sure had sore feet and backs by days end.

Loved The Snow...

In the high country it snowed and the kids were itching to go play in it, so over the long holiday weekend we drove towards Payson. In actuality it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be with the sun shining nice and brightly that day for us. As you can see the kids had a fabulous time throwing snowballs at Terry instead of me this time around. I was busy snapping pictures as I tried to dodge the throws of fierce targeting skills from both sides. It was a great time to spend together as a family and our first time with Terry in the white powder as he is used to this weather being from colder states than Az. He was amazed at how excited my kids became as we got closer to spotting snow on the ground even though it wasn't that deep. Lo and behold does he know that here in Az it is a nice change for us and not very often seen or played in enough here in the deserty west. Anyways great memories were made with no broken glasses or bruises on anyone...yeah lucky me...I survived another round of snow...

Jan 2011...A New Year

A day at the Out of Africa exhibit was exhilarating to see and fun to be able to feed these animals out of our hands.
