A new school year...

These past couple of months have been busy with my kids starting school again. My computer is having problems lately, so I don't have any photos to post for now. Life has just been busy with moving, and the kids starting school. Sabrina is in the eighth grade at Wigwam Middle School. She has had a hard time adjusting to this new change, but seems to make friends fast. Frankie and Ana are both in the fourth grade at Corte Sierra Elementary. They have different teachers and seem to like their new school so far. I am just trying to unpack boxes and get our life back to some kind of normalcy, whatever that may be...So hopefully my computer will be running soon to post some new pics for ya all who read this.

We finally made it to Utah

Our last stop of our adventures was at the border of Utah. We saw Lake Powell and we were tired by the time we reached our destination. We have never seen a lake so huge and with its incredible cliffs everywhere that we took several pics. We are hoping that our next trip we will be able to travel more of Utah to see the Salt Lake Temple.

Antelope Canyon-Page, Az

Our next stop ended up being near Page, Az which was a long drive with five children in tow. I wanted to show them some of their navajo lands. This canyon was made from water and wind over the years. The side of these canyons are smooth and cool to the touch. As we climbed down into the canyon the walls were very narrow in some places that you actually have to walk sideways to move forward. The kids love the cool sand on the floor between their toes. I was mesmerized by the sheer beauty of it all that I hated to leave. The sunlight shining down the canyon walls is spectacular to look at and just a beautiful place to be. We loved our adventures there as the kids hid in small crevices in the rocks, and yelled to hear their echoes throughout the canyon.

Sedona Slide Rock State Park

This past weekend we headed up to Sedona where the kids played in the water. We enjoy going to this water slide where the kids get cooled off and have fun sliding and jumping off rocks. While we were there it rained hard enough to where we had to hide in the crevice of the rocks to wait it out. The scenery is beautiful this time of year and the walls of rocks are red.

School Reunion at EAC

Here I am at Dr. Crae Wilson's Reunion which was held at EAC in Thatcher during March 2008. This reunion was for all students who participated in any of his musical productions that he directed. I was in several musical plays that were so much fun. Some of the plays were "Sound of Music," "Grease"and "South Pacific." There were others just can't remember them, but these plays were great. While I was there I met his daughter Jennifer who was in one of the plays with me, and seeing her again brought back such fun memories. Later in the evening I was able to watch one last play of Dr. Wilson's productions which was "Fiddler on the Roof." My oldest child Sabrina watched this play with me and she loved it as did I. I will always remember the fun memories that were made on that stage and how late we stayed to rehearse for them.

4th of July fun....

We enjoyed the fireworks on two different days while Jono visited. The first show was seen at the Phoenix International Raceway in Avondale. Although it was hot, the kids enjoyed riding on a trolley to tour the racetrack. The second show was seen in Tolleson where the kids enjoyed a huge water slide to get wet on. As we waited for the show to start, we enjoyed eating hotdogs, watermelon and chips to fill our bellies. Fun was had by all and we loved our time there.

Summer Fun...

These are just some of our cousins that we have seen lately. Recently my niece Alex graduated from Kindergarten which shows how time flies by so fast. We like it when we can see how they have grown so fast. The picture to the right shows the very house that I grew up while living in York Valley during most of my childhood years. I love this place and the special memories that were made there. I am glad that we kept this house in the family so my children could create new memories with their cousins now.
To the right here is my cousin Chloe Hilton whose family recently moved to Alaska for three years. They are a military family whose father is in the Coastguard for five more years.

Our Wedding Best

Here we have cousins Michelle, Vanessa, and Alex with us for the wedding fun. Girls had so much fun seeing horses, and visiting their Grandma Louise before we headed off to Aunt Mary's house. I showed the girls some favorite places I liked to play as a little girl when I lived here years ago. Being at my childhood home sure brings back alot of fun memories of the river, the hills, and of course the many cousins who joined in our adventures.

Brandon and Rachel's Wedding Day

My cousin Rachel got married this past week, and the ceremony was beautiful. We got to see lots of our cousins, and visited with friends throughout the day. My kids enjoyed playing with their cousins rarely seen, since schools out for the summer. Melanie's family was there too, and we rarely see them ever, so we enjoyed visiting them.

Last week of school

This week is my kids last week at school, so they are very excited to just play this week. Sabrina is turning 14 yrs this week, and she wants to have a swimming party with her friends. Frankie is now 10 yrs, and I can't believe how big he is getting. Ariana is going to be 9 yrs, and she seems like she is going on twelve. I don't know why my girls are in such a hurry to grow-up, cause seems just like yesterday they were so much younger. Anyway just trying to be excited about the long summer days ahead. So another year gone by and more adventures to endure with family and friends.
